Chili and Onion Price Hiking

Government’s plan to raise the price of subsidized fuel (BBM) is apparently having an impact on vegetables price which starting to hiking now although not too significant. Among the vegetables which price is hiking are chili and onion.
Price will keep hiking, it’s impossible declining
Dian (54), a vegetables trader in Senen Market, Central Jakarta, said the price of chili and onion is starting to hike. For chili, its price hikes from Rp 40,000 per kilogram to Rp 50,000 per kilogram, while onion’s price rises from Rp 15,000 per kilogram to Rp 18,000 per kilogram.
“But thus far, there has been no rise on staples price. On the other hand, chicken price declines from Rp 20,000 per kilogram to Rp 18,000 per kilogram,” she disclosed, Friday (11/7).
